V. Michael Bove has an S.B.E.E., an S.M. in Visual Studies, and a Ph.D. in Media Technology, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is an inventor on over 30 patents in areas including medical imaging, IoT, holographic television, AR/VR, e-commerce, interactive entertainment, social media, hardcopy printing, and digitally enhanced sports equipment. He is an author on over 100 technical publications and co-author of the book Holographic Imaging. He has headed a research group at the MIT Media Lab as well as co-founding and advising multiple startup companies. He has taught university subjects including digital signal processing, consumer electronics design, technology's influence on the development of modern art (and vice versa), and writing about design.
